24 Hours of Le Mans 2022: the TV program, how to follow the race?

The 2022 24 Hours of Le Mans is fast approaching! But, due to the length of the race, it was not always easy to be able to follow the event live. In the past, France Television offered a few live segments throughout the event, a somewhat frustrating format for fans. But since 2021 and the passage of unencrypted rights on the L’Équipe channel, the situation has changed. So to not miss a beat of the biggest race of the year, follow our guide!

24 Hours of Le Mans 2022: the TV program, on L’Équipe and Eurosport

On television, you can follow the 24 Hours of Le Mans in two ways. First in the clear, on the L’Équipe channel, which will offer a large part of the test. Here is the grid offered by the channel:

Saturday June 11

  • First live from 9:50 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Start of the race at 4:00 p.m.
  • Second live from 10:45 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Sunday June 12

  • Live from 5:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
  • Arrival of the race at 4:00 p.m.

Subscribers to Eurosport will also be able to enjoy the full broadcast of the race, as well as the various practice and qualifying sessions. Here is the complete program:

Wednesday, June 8

  • 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Free practice 1 (Eurosport 2)
  • 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Qualifying practice (Eurosport 2)
  • 10:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: Free practice 2 (Eurosport 2)

Thursday, June 9

  • 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Free practice 3 (Eurosport 2)
  • 8:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: hyperpolis (Eurosport 2)
  • 10 p.m. – midnight: Free practice 4 (Eurosport 2)

Saturday June 11

  • 10:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.: Warm-up (Eurosport 1)
  • 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: 24 hours of Le Mans (Eurosport 2)

Sunday June 12

  • 12:01 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: 24 hours of Le Mans (Eurosport 2)

How to follow the 24 Hours of Le Mans in streaming

If you don’t have access to L’Équipe or Eurosport, don’t panic: there is a third option. L’official FIA WEC apprenamed for the occasion “24H Le Mans”, allows you to follow the race in live streaming. You will need to pay € 9.99 for this, directly on the application. If you want to follow the entire 2022 season of the WEC championship, including Le Mans, it will cost you €26.99. The L’Équipe channel program is also available live on their website.
