Brabus 900 Superblack: a bodybuilt Mercedes-AMG G 63 with 900 hp!

The German preparer Brabus revisits the Mercedes-AMG G 63 with this extreme Brabus 900 Superblack, which develops no less than 900 horsepower!

Brabus, the famous preparer of Mercedes and Smart models, and more recently Porsche and Rolls-Royce, has once again tackled the Mercedes-AMG G 63with this new achievement called Brabus 900 Superblack.

The luxurious G-Class signed AMG is transformed into an extreme SUV, and joins the collection of Brabus Monochrome Design Series, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the preparer. It is distinguished by a wide body kit “Widestar”, and a “full black” look thanks to its black “Obsidian Black Metallic” paint and its carbon fiber parts.

Indeed, we find the ultralight material on the inserts encircling the bodywork at mid-height, the entourage of the grille, or the impressive bonnet, equipped with imposing air intakes. The set is completed by forged rims Brabus Monoblock Z “Platinum Edition” from 24 inchespainted in gloss black “Signature Black”.

Inside, there is treatment in line with the latest Brabus productions, with quilted leather upholstery with perforated patterns, Brabus badges, carbon fiber inserts on the dashboard, center console, trims door handle or the steering wheel, not forgetting a specific Brabus stainless steel pedal. The plastic trims also receive ’77’ embossing, reminiscent of Brabus’ founding year (1977) to celebrate the brand’s 45th anniversary.

But the most anticipated element is of course hidden under the hood: Brabus has modified the block 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 of displacement, and gave it new turbochargers. This is the most powerful engine offered by Brabus, called Rocket 900 V8: the set now develops 900 horsepower and 1,250 Nm of torquea gain of 315 horsepower and 400 Nm compared to the original configuration, already strong at 585 horsepower and 850 Nm.

Thus equipped, the Brabus 900 swallows the 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds only, for a maximum speed limited to 280 km/h. The automatic transmission allows its nine gears to be shifted automatically or manually, depending on the driver’s preferences.

Brabus 900 Superblack: a price as extreme as its performance

A stainless steel exhaust system high-performance Brabus signature also completes the endowment, with carbon exhaust pipes and active valves, which allow the sound of the V8 to be personalized at the simple press of a button, with a more expressive “Sport” mode or a more discreet “Coming Home” mode.

Brabus has not announced a catalog price for its new Brabus 900 Superblack based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63, but a copy is already on sale on the German tuner’s website, at the price of €516,862.22 !
